If the Lord Jesus is willing, I hope to send Timothy to you soon for a visit. Then he can cheer me up by telling me how you are getting along. {Phil 1:19 NLT}.

Relying on the Lords wisdom and guidance in our decision making process as believers, is inevitable if we always expect to have the right/desired outcomes. Our scriptural focus today states – If the Lord Jesus is willing, I hope to send Timothy to you soon for a visit. Then he can cheer me up by telling me how you are getting along. Even though Apostle Paul had the power/liberty to send Timothy to any place he wished him to go and Timothy will not hesitate, rather he will gladly go, yet he relied on the approval of the Lord to send him. There are so many things you can do as an individual, but when it comes to taking decisions that affect your spirituality/destiny or that of other people, it will always be necessary to be convinced about the willingness of the Lord towards that step. Apostle Paul wanted to send Timothy to the Philippian church to bring him report on their welfare, yet he wanted to be sure the Lord was also willing for him to send Timothy on this all important assignment.
Even when it is solely in your power to take that decision that will affect either your business, your family, your marriage plans, your job, the church etc, the Lord’s input will reassure and boost your confidence to go ahead or can stop you from making a mistake.
We also see very clearly, Apostle Paul’s care for the welfare of the Philippian church, even though he was going through some persecutions because of the gospel at this time. Hearing that they were doing just fine in their faith, was going to cheer him up and would be a source of joy to him.
As believers, we should be people that care about the welfare of our fellow believers. There are some brethren you may not have heard from for quite sometime now, you can takes steps to find out about their welfare, definitely it will refresh their spirit and gladden your heart.

Let the care for one another be uppermost in your hearts.

Have a Grace filled day – Good News awaits you.
