For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against persons without bodies—the evil rulers of the unseen world, those mighty satanic beings and great evil princes of darkness who rule this world; and against huge numbers of wicked spirits in the spirit world. {Eph 6:12 TLB}
The key to be successful always in spiritual warfare is in finding the biblical balance for it and also following the examples of Christ as contained in the four gospels. Our scriptural focus for today states – For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood. Spiritual warfare is not the believers own talisman against unbelievers or those who badly hurt us, rather It is the daily enforcement of the victory of Christ by Believers on this earth over the devil and his demons. This victory was won by Christ over two thousand years ago through His passion on the cross. We have established that it is an error to ignore spiritual warfare but note that its a great error to make your fellow humans as the object of your spiritual warfare. The Holy Spirit uses believers to do good works in the name of Christ, similarly the devil uses unbelievers to carry out his evil works on this earth, but that does not make unbelievers your enemies or the object of your spiritual warfare. If you as a believer must be successful in spiritual warfare, you must understand this fundamental principle of biblical spiritual warfare – that our fight is not against humans. Hate prayers are dominating the church today, because believers have fallen to the trick of the devil that makes us see humans as our enemies, brethren this ought not to be so.
Focusing on humans in spiritual warfare is a great misplacement of the victory of Christ.
