Building godly Relationships Part III

Beloved as a tree is known and identified by the fruits it produces, so will the world around you identify you as God’s child by the fruits of righteousness you allow the Holy Spirit produce in you and through you. Our scriptural focus for today states – But if you are always biting and devouring one another, watch out! Beware of destroying one another. {Gal 5:15 NLT}
When believers in Christ keeping taking steps that will destroy the image of another child of God, with the intention that they are doing God a favour but unknown to them they are equally setting themselves on the path of destruction. Biting and devouring one another flourishes in an atmosphere of bitterness and unforgiveness. It will be important to state that God did not promise His children a life void of hurt or pain either between a husband and wife or between brethren in the body of Christ or between siblings or between colleagues in the office, rather He promised His children the Spirit of patience, self control and forgiveness as the antidote for every kind of hurt or pain that we may experience on our earthly pilgrimage.
The church is described as a body with different parts like the human body, for instance if the hand becomes offended with the leg to the extent to which it uses a sharp object to injure the leg, it is obvious that the effectiveness of the body has been greatly limited, with the hand inclusive.
The same goes for the body of Christ or the family. If a member of the body of Christ or family harbour’s offence in the heart to the point such offence is turned into action that will breed more unrighteousness, bear in mind that he/she is not just destroying and limiting the effectiveness of one person alone but that of the entire body of Christ or family.

Injury to one is injury to all.

Have a Grace filled day , Good News awaits you.
