Their minds are full of darkness; they wander far from the life God gives because they have closed their minds and hardened their hearts against him. {Eph 4:18 NLT}
As we continue to x-ray the lifestyle of unbelievers which is the direct opposite of that of believers, we see from our scriptural focus for today the effects of sin in the life of anyone that opens up to it. Its clear that sin darkens the human mind and understanding. Unbelievers do not have the life of God, because they have deliberately worked away from this Life of righteousness that is the only antidote for sin. We also observe through the current events that are unfolding in our days, how far the minds of men/women have strayed away from God and His divine purpose for humanity. Closing ones heart/mind against God is the greatest wickedness a human can do himself/herself.
Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused. {Rm 1:21 NLT}
Open up your heart to God and you will forever be glad you did.
