Faith and Works Part VII
Peace is not the absence of troubles in the life of a child of God, but the presence of Christ that supplies an unexplainable confidence that points to God as the way maker in every trouble. Our scriptural focus for today states – In the same way, “Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith. {Gal 3:6 NLT}
Apostle Paul points the attention of the Galatian Christians to the all time example of father Abraham, who was not privileged to live in the dispensation of grace through the death and resurrection yet lived by the principle of Faith in his personal relationship with God and he was counted righteous by God.
If a man who neither had the law nor the message of grace could believe the revelation he saw about God, when nobody in his generation has ever had any relationship with this God yet he believe that there is a God, then neither the Galatian Christians nor any human who has lived after Christ has an excuse to live in unbelief. The example of Father Abraham speaks volume, although he is long gone, his example lives on.
It is your absolute trust and confidence in the abilities of God in the face of any human challenge that translates into your Faith and makes you a righteous person before God. No wonder God called Abraham His friend. Been the friend of God is in your ability to walk by faith and not by sight.
Those who choose to walk by sight are always limited to the extent of their unbelief, but those who choose to walk by faith are counted righteous by God and are limitless to the extent of their trust and confidence in God,
Be faith driven, Be counted righteous.
Have a Grace filled day, Good News awaits you.
