The Knowledge of Christ Part II

So whatever it takes, I will be one who lives in the fresh newness of life of those who are alive from the dead. {Phil 3:11  TLB}

As believers, without the balanced knowledge of Christ, we are not only ignorant of God, but also of the all important way of salvation. Remember, we know not how to either be justified or sanctified on our own. Our scriptural focus for today states – So whatever it takes, I will be one who lives in the fresh newness of life of those who are alive from the dead. Apostle Paul was spiritually minded, so he looked at the things of this world from Gods perspective. No wonder he desired to live on this earth with fresh newness of life of those who are alive from the dead.
Your Union with Christ gave you the privilege to share both in His death and resurrection. This fact is the turning point in the life of every believer who truly understands the responsibilities the resurrection of Christ confers on him/her. Hear this – For you have become a part of him, and so you died with him, so to speak, when he died; and now you share his new life and shall rise as he did. {Rm 6:5 TLB}.
Apostle Paul made this solemn pledge based on his understanding of sharing in the resurrection of Christ that – ‘Whatever it takes’ – he will live on earth no longer according to the sinful desires that ruled his life before he experienced Christ but he will now live as a brand new person who have experienced spiritual resurrection.
To reciprocate the love Christ showed to us as believers, we must come to that point were we vow like Apostle Paul – “I will do whatever it takes to live this new life in Christ that i have been given”. A dead person cannot sin, so Christ expects anyone who has experienced spiritual resurrection to daily live as one that is dead to sin and every worldly pleasure but alive to God and righteousness.

You have newness of life because you have resurrected.

Have a Grace filled day – Good News awaits you.
