The Fruit Of The Holy Spirit Part VII
Beloved, strength does not come from what you think you can do, but it comes from overcoming the things you once thought were impossible in your life. Our scriptural focus for today states – But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness. {Gal 5:22 NLT}
As you go through your earthly pilgrimage, you will encounter different storms at different stages of your life but your victory over every storm will be in how well you have learnt to stay in His peace. Fear, worry and anxiety are strategies of the devil deployed in every storm to ensure that every believer in Christ is defeated by the storms that will come their way. Jesus encountered many storms of life during His earthly pilgrimage, but His mastery of peace put Him in command of those storms.
Peace is the first sensible fruit of assurance of pardon for sin. Hear this – Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. {Rm 5:1 NLT}. The inward peace a believer in Christ experiences at salvation, is the first proof of pardon for sin and right standing with God. Peace with God also gives the believer in Christ the ability to be at peace with men.
We can’t have peace with God and be hateful, we can’t have peace with God and constantly live in the realm of confusion, because the One who lives in the inside of us is the Prince of Peace.
When next you face a storm don’t allow fear, worry, anxiety, and doubt to becloud your mind/heart with confusion, rather allow the Holy Spirit to fill your mind/heart with His peace then wisdom will arise from within you that will inspire you to victory over that storm.
Be at peace with God and men.
