Living By The Spirit Part I
The proof that you trust God is in your absolute obedience to His instructions, even in the face of the most impossible situation. Remember that trust is built through a consistent relationship with God. Our scriptural focus for today states – So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. {Gal 5:16 NLT}
The purpose of the devil is that God’s children will live their everyday life being a source of pain and concern to God through their lifestyle. His strategy for achieving this is to keep God’s children in ignorance and by constantly neglecting the ministry and personality of the Holy Spirit. The devil knows that if he succeeds in bringing God’s children to the point where they pay lip service to the ministry of the Holy Spirit, then he has succeeded in taking away spiritual guidance which is one of the greatest advantages God has given to His children here on earth.
Jesus while on earth speaking about the ministry of the Holy Spirit to God’s children said – When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future. {Jn 16:13 NLT}
The devil does everything within his power to ensure that God’s children remain in ignorance concerning the ministry of the Holy Spirit in their lives because that is the only antidote to ignorance.
The guidance of the Holy Spirit takes a human away from the realm of spiritual darkness to the realm of spiritual light/illumination. When a human is brought to the realm of spiritual illumination, understanding God and living in righteousness becomes an easy thing.
The Holy Spirit is able to provide spiritual guidance because He knows the future, and currently in our world the ability to know the future has become one of the greatest means the devil through his false prophets are using to deceive and mislead gullible people who claim to be God’s children.
Only the Holy Spirit can guide you into the future.
Have a Grace filled day – Good News awaits you
