Living In The Light I

Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice! {Phil 4:4  NLT}

As a believer, when you put the word of God first in your life and you establish it as the final authority in all that you do, prosperity will definitely become the order of your life. Our scriptural focus for today states – Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice.
Sometimes, the trials and pressures of life make it almost impossible for humans to be happy. Apostle Paul is not also instructing the Philippian believers to be happy, because happiness is based on a physical achievement/success, rather he instructs them to be joyful and learn to rejoice always in the Lord. Joy is a spiritual virtue, which is not the absence of challenges in one’s life but a state of inner peace and excitement that comes from a person’s relationship with the Holy Spirit even in the face of the worst challenges of life. The emphasis on this word Rejoice or be Joyful in this scripture, establishes the importance of cultivating this virtue for all believers. This is one of the spiritual virtues that separates believers from unbelievers.
We cannot deny the fact that there are many situations that try to steal away the joy of the believer while on our earthly pilgrimage, but note that Christ is the only one in whom the sphere of our rejoicing as believers can be guaranteed.
Apostle Paul was an excellent example of one who had inner joy even when external circumstances such as – imprisonment, hunger, threat of death, persecution, were against him.
Hear the words of Jesus –  I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” {John 16:33 NLT}
Child of God always work at building up your most holy faith through the scriptures and other spiritual materials, because that’s what will form the foundation for your rejoicing in the day of diversity.

Rejoicing in the Lord is a choice you must make.

Have a Grace filled day – Good News awaits you.
