The Source of The Gospel
Dear brothers and sisters, I want you to understand that the gospel message I preach is not based on mere human reasoning. {Gal 1:11 NLT}
When you come to Christ through salvation, He takes away your past and its consequences and gives you a future you never had and its great rights and privileges. Our scriptural focus for today states – Dear brothers and sisters, I want you to understand that the gospel message I preach is not based on mere human reasoning.
There were some in the galatian church who took it upon themselves to question the ministry of apostle paul among the galatians, and there aim was to distract the message of grace and destroy his reputation. He therefore used this opportunity to set the records straight and also to defend the message of grace and his mission. He declares that the gospel message did not originate from human reasoning. In essence, he was saying I did not invent this gospel, nor did any other human. He also wanted the brethren to know that the gospel has not been debased or adulterated by any human admixtures.
You maybe going through confrontations or even blackmail as a minister or a believer standing for the truth of the gospel of grace from within the church or outside the church, the experience of apostle paul offers alot of encouragement when we also find ourselves in such situations.
There is no need to give up, believe in the truth the gospel offers and stand by it. Do not bow to the pressures within or without to start mixing the gospel in order to be accepted, remain true to God.
The gospel is not man-made
