The Fruit of The Holy Spirit Part VIII

Beloved, obstacles are those intimidating and frightful things you see when you take your eyes and focus away from Christ and your divine purpose. Our scriptural focus for today states – But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness. {Gal 5:22 NLT}
The virtue of patience/longsuffering has become an indispensable tool if any believer in Christ will have a successful walk of righteousness with the Holy Spirit. Day in, day out situations will arise that is intended to stretch the believers faith and capacity to endure the tricks of the devil.
Patience/longsuffering is that quality which empowers a believer in Christ to be able to bear adversity, injury, or reproach and is still able to forgive the person who have done him/her wrong. Patience is also that courageous endurance that keeps a believer in Christ going even in the face of the most difficult circumstances without quitting. The devil knows that the natural man cannot bear for long wrong doings either in the family, office or society, so he employs the same trick on the believer in Christ, especially when he(the devil) finds out that he(the devil) cannot forcefully or subtly overcome a believer.
So he(the devil) will decide to repeat a particular temptation/unpleasant situation time and again with the intention to weaken the believer in Christ and take away their confidence in God.
To withstand the devils continuous assaults, we need to develop the virtue of patience/longsuffering. For instance, if the devil wants to take a believer in Christ 5miles in a particular situation in order to break his/her strength, through longsuffering a believer is ready to go 20 miles without losing his/her spiritual strength or focus.

With longsuffering, the devil will get tried of his game.

Have a Grace filled day – Good News awaits you.
