Grace Revealed Part IX
Beloved, we need to know that denominations was not given to the body of Christ to threaten its unity of purpose, rather it was given as a tool to fulfill the great commission. Our scriptural focus for today states – That’s why I work and struggle so hard, depending on Christ’s mighty power that works within me. {Col 1:29 NLT}
Our relationship with Christ on this earth is the most valuable asset God has given to all His children, therefore we must ensure that we work hard to maintain it and to equally help others to come into that relationship and maintain it too. Apostle Paul understood the importance of maintaining a healthy relationship with Christ, therefore he declared – That is why I work and struggle so hard, depending on Christ’s mighty power that works within me. Apostle Paul highlighted two very importance factors that will guarantee his success and this same factors will equally guarantee the success of believers in any field of endeavor. The first is Hard Work and the second is The Mighty Power Of Christ Within Him.
That we live in the dispensation of Grace, did not excuse believers from hard work. We are expected by Christ to work very hard in any field of endeavor we find ourselves, while depending on the mighty power of Christ in us in the person of the Holy Spirit to guarantee our success. As believers we must put in hard work in bringing sinners into the kingdom and disciplining them to ensure that they are established in the faith through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Work hard – Depend on the Holy Spirit.
