For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against persons without bodies—the evil rulers of the unseen world, those mighty satanic beings and great evil princes of darkness who rule this world; and against huge numbers of wicked spirits in the spirit world. {Eph 6:12 TLB}
The battle field for spiritual warfare is the human mind/heart, doing all within your reach to always guide and protect your mind/heart from being influenced by the devil, through the help of the Holy Spirit is the first step to maintaining the victory of Christ. Our scriptural focus for today states – But against persons without bodies—the evil rulers of the unseen world, those mighty satanic beings and great evil princes of darkness who rule this world; and against huge numbers of wicked spirits in the spirit world. Our spiritual warfare is against spiritual beings that do not have human bodies as we do, so they require a human body to house them to be able to carry out their evil intentions on this earth. They fall into the following category of demons/fallen angles;
1. Evil rulers of the unseen world
2. Mighty satanic beings
3. Great evil powers of darkness
4. Wicked spirits in the spirit world….. Etc
The Holy Spirit through apostle Paul has categorized these demons/fallen angles in this manner for the following reasons
1. For believers to properly understand who these demons are and what their mission on earth is towards the church.
2. To make it very clear who the believers enemies are.
3. To remove our focus from our fellow humans as being either our enemies or the object of our spiritual warfare. Etc
It will be very important to note that Christ during His passion defeated all of them, and only gave believers the responsibility of daily maintaining that victory on His behalf as we represent Him on this earth. In spiritual warfare, fear is the greatest weapon of the devil and it is targeted towards the believers mind/heart. If you give into it, you have lost the battle.
Faith is the only antidote for fear, always walk in Faith.
