God’s Ambassador Part I
The most important and enviable aspect of all that God did for humans is to have Christ in glorified state live inside humans who receive Him. Our scriptural focus for today states – Clothe yourselves therefore, as God’s own chosen ones (His own picked representatives), [who are] purified and holy and well-beloved [by God Himself, by putting on behavior marked by] tenderhearted pity and mercy, kind feeling, a lowly opinion of yourselves, gentle ways, [and] patience [which is tireless and long-suffering, and has the power to endure whatever comes, with good temper]. {Col 3:12 AMP}
The decision to receive Christ into your life as your Lord and personal Saviour, automatically confered on you the privilege of being God’s Ambassador wherever you find yourself on this earth. An ambassador is a high ranking official of a particular country sent to a foreign country to represent the interest of his/her native country. An ambassador of a country is fully aware that he/she is the extension of both the president and the members of his/her native country, therefore he/she must behave in ways that portrays the dignity of his/her native country.
Similarly, every believer in Christ must live with the consciousness that they are ambassadors of the highest government the spiritual and physical world’s have ever seen. Therefore must clothe themselves with behaviours that only portrays the dignity and glory of their native country.
You are a representative of God on this earth.
