Grace and The Calling Part III

Nor did I go up to Jerusalem to consult with those who were apostles before I was. Instead, I went away into Arabia, and later I returned to the city of Damascus. {Gal 1:17 NLT}

As a believer, don’t allow any negative mentality in any area of your life stop you from receiving Gods best. It may look impossible in your own eyes but anything and everything is possible with God. Our scriptural focus for today states – Nor did I go up to Jerusalem to consult with those who were apostles before I was. Instead, I went away into Arabia, and later I returned to the city of Damascus.
Apostle Paul goes on to explain the activities that aided him on the path of his calling and to prove that the message he was privileged by Christ to preach was not born out of human consultations. There were apostles before his conversion, but he stated – I did not go up to Jerusalem to consult with them. Him not going to Jerusalem to consult with the twelve apostles was not born out of pride or arrogance, nor was it to prove a point that a newly appointed man of God is now in town who is more powerful than the other apostles.
But I went into Arabia – This may have been his time of retreating with the Holy Spirit, who taught him beyond what his fellow men would have been able to teach him.
Do not be in the company of those today who have taken one area of the calling into ministry upon themselves on the basis of human consultations, rather than consulting first with the Holy Spirit. Lets learn to always find time within our busy schedules to always consult with the Holy Spirit on all issues that concerns us.

Talk to the Holy Spirit, He has all the answers
