Victory Over Sin Part II
Beloved don’t allow fear, worry and anxiety cheat you out of your dreams, bear in mind that your God is bigger than whatever you’re worried about. Our scriptural focus for today states – Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there. {Gal 5:24 NLT}
To enjoy the benefits made available by Christ through His death and resurrection, every human must personally address the subject of belonging to Christ. In our generation, people are becoming more comfortable belonging to churches rather than belonging to Christ, especially when that particular church is the happening place in town.
It is one thing to belong to Christ, and another thing to understand the privileges you have in Christ. The strategy of the devil is to present the benefits Christ has made available for the believer through His death and resurrection as an impossible life to live here on earth, so he tries to trick believers by ensuring that these fleshly passions and lusts shows up in the believers life.
The Bible did not say these fleshly passions and lusts will be crucified, rather it says it had been crucified meaning it is already done, your responsibility as a believer in Christ is to stand on this revelation to daily overcome sin and establish your victory in Christ. It will also be important to state that there are things that fuel these fleshly passions and lusts, its also the responsibility of the believer in Christ to stay away from such things that tries to rekindle the appetite for sin in his/her life. If there are things you need to walk away from in order to establish your victory over the sinful nature and all its passions and lusts, why not be bold to do so and save your relationship with the Holy Spirit.
Its time to walk away from negative passions and habits.
