The Curse of The Law Part II
In the world we live in, some people are hurting so bad that you as a Christian needs to do more than preach the gospel to them, you need to be the message of hope to them. Our scriptural focus for today states – But those who depend on the law to make them right with God are under his curse, for the Scriptures say, “Cursed is everyone who does not observe and obey all the commands that are written in God’s Book of the Law. {Gal 3:10 NLT}
Having established that the death and resurrection of Christ gave the believer among other things a curse free life here on earth, but it will be important to state that ignorance of this truth is the tool the devil needs to oppress a believer into believing that he/she is still under a curse even after the salvation experience.
If after the salvation experience, a believer still goes ahead to practice the requirements of the law as a means of been made right with God, that individual has deliberately brought him/her under the curse of the law. Be reminded the law can neither save nor justify a person, but can only condemn. Breaking even one commandment in the law brings a person under condemnation/curse. The law can only bring humans under a curse but cannot offer any solution, thereby making it ineffective. Apostle Paul was drawing the attention of everyone who wants to mix the law with grace to Deuteronomy 27:26 – Cursed is anyone who does not uphold the words of this law by carrying them out.” Then all the people shall say, “Amen.
Don’t bring yourself under bondage again by going back to the practice of the law, rather enjoy the liberty wherein Christ has made you free.
Be free from the law and its curse.
Have a Grace filled Month – Good News awaits you.
