Family Relationship Part I
Beloved, let everything you do, that is the word’s you speak and the actions you take be in total dependence on Christ and His principles. Our scriptural focus for today states – Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting for those who belong to the Lord. {Col 3:18 NLT}
The family unit is one of the great gifts God brought into the human world. The family or marriage was never Adam’s idea but God’s idea, this we all must understand. God made all the animals to pass before Adam to see if he could find a companion among them but he only named them but never found a companion among them. Adam was looking for something(another human) that is like him.
The purpose for which God went ahead to create the woman/wife, after Adam could not find a companion among the animals, was to create another human being that is suitable, adaptable and complementary to the man. Therefore if every woman/wife takes out time to understand the purpose behind her creation, the divine principle of Submission to her husband becomes a lifestyle and no longer a struggle.
So for every wife and intending wife, your first major spiritual breakthrough is when you can truly say you have by the help of the Holy Spirit understood the divine responsibility of Submission to your husband.
