If you are angry, don’t sin by nursing your grudge. Don’t let the sun go down with you still angry—get over it quickly. {Eph 4:26  TLB}

Our scriptural focus for today addresses a character trait that is capable of destroying your good intentions if not checked. As a believer, you are not immuned from getting angry because Jesus even said offences must come, but you have been given the the ability to control it. Our scriptural focus establishes that it not a sin to be angry, but anger can become a sin by the way you react when offended. When you use anger or offence as an avenue for revenge/retaliation, at this point it has become a sin. As a believer, you are discouraged from Nursing grudges against anyone because that is the root cause of all forms of revenge/retaliation. Don’t let the sun go down with you still angry – means do not form the habit of prolonging anger, rather learn to exhibit the fruit of the Holy Spirit by getting over it as quickly as possible. One of the ways to get over anger quickly, is by forgiving people even  before they ask for it.

For anger doesn’t make us good, as God demands that we must be. {James 1:20  TLB}

Forgiveness should be your daily lifestyle
