Freedom in Christ Part III

But we refused to give in to them for a single moment. We wanted to preserve the truth of the gospel message for you. {Gal 2:5  NLT}

If you fix your eyes and mind on the things God has placed ahead of you, you will not be distracted by the failures of the past, nor the worries of how your future will be great. Our scriptural focus for today states – But we refused to give in to them for a single moment. We wanted to preserve the truth of the gospel message for you.
Apostle Paul refused to give in to the demands of some Jewish Christians, who wanted to impose the laws of Moses as an obligation for the Gentile converts. He knew the great danger this will be for the future of the gospel of Grace, for which he resisted it with everything he had at his disposal. His purpose was to preserve the truth of the gospel that had been preached to the Gentiles and to enable the Gentiles carry the same gospel to their own generations.
Apostle Paul was willing right from the beginning to give his life in defence of the gospel, he could go to any length to preserve the truth that was revealed to him by Christ. He was a man who was not satisfied with just living for the present but had an eye for the future of the gospel.
There are a lot of new gospels been added to the original gospel Christ died to give us, some sound very good, others are unthinkable, like Apostle Paul God expects you to refuse to give in to such gospels, it does not matter who is preaching it. Let your aim be to preserve the Truth of the gospel you have received both for yourself and the next generation. The Truth is not relative as some people are crusading today, hear the Bible – For we cannot oppose the truth, but must always stand for the truth. {2Cor 13:8 NLT}.

Labour to preserve the Truth.

Have a Grace filled day – Good News awaits you.
