I hope to send him to you just as soon as I find out what is going to happen to me here. {Phil 2:23  NLT}

As a believer, if you’re desperate to achieve success and you go too fast, watch it because you may hurt yourself and rubbish your testimony. God will open opportunities for service for you as He sees your maturity and readiness. Our scriptural focus for today states – I hope to send him to you just as soon as I find out what is going to happen to me here. Apostle Paul was in prison at this point and it was uncertain what the roman government was going to do to him. At this point Timothy as a son, was helping to provide both spiritual and physical support to him. That was why in the earlier verse – Apostle Paul says – I have no one like him, in the mist of all these uncertainties and difficulties surrounding him and the ministry he was called to fulfill, he was still engrossed with the care and concern for the Philippian church.
Sending Timothy to Philippi to continue the work of Christ was more important than his personal welfare and comfort, no wonder he says – As soon as i know my fate here, I will send him to you. Timothy learnt the true meaning of sacrificial living and selfless service through the exemplary lifestyle of Apostle Paul.
As leaders in the church, or in any organization, the ounce is on you to lead by example. We have come to the point in the church were leaders must learn to set aside their personal comfort to pursue the purpose of Christ. Leaders at all levels must deliberately teach those who they are mentoring the true meaning of sacrificial living and selfless service to God and humanity. The example of Apostle Paul speaks volume.

Be focus – Be selfless – Be godly in all things.

Have a Grace filled day – Good News awaits you.
