The Effects of Compromise Part IV
The limitations and successes you experience in life is based on your expectations and mindset. Whatever the mind/heart dwells upon, the entire body works to achieve it. Our scriptural focus for today states – You and I are Jews by birth, not ‘sinners’ like the Gentiles. {Gal 2:15 NLT}
The Gentiles in the days of the Law were considered as Sinners, not because they have committed any known sin but because they were outside the old covenant, while the Jews who keep the Law were considered as righteous. Apostle Paul was establishing that compelling the Gentiles to start keeping the Jewish laws and traditions will not make them righteous since they were considered sinners from birth. That one was a Jew by birth gave you the privilege of been called righteous.
Under grace all that has changed, because both Jews and Gentiles are sinners by birth. Not even the children of pastors or bishops can be considered righteous from birth because Salvation is now a personal decision and no longer a byproduct of nation/family one is born into. The days when righteousness was conferred on people is gone because grace has abolished such practices. We all stand on the the same platform as people born in sin and now in need of God for a change of destiny.
In Christ there are no superior’s.
