Learning From The Past Part II
Don’t allow worries about tomorrow affect your personal relationship with God, rather learn to trust God with your tomorrow and be rest assured that it will be glorious. Our scriptural focus for today states – The son of the slave wife was born in a human attempt to bring about the fulfillment of God’s promise. But the son of the freeborn wife was born as God’s own fulfillment of his promise. {Gal 4:23 NLT}
Allowing the devil introduce things into your life that may offer a momentary relief from the pressures of life you’re going through, can never bring about a permanent solution and will not equally be a step in the right direction in the fulfilment of your God given destiny. When father Abraham bowed to the pressure of childlessness and took Hagar that was never meant to be part of his family as a wife, little did he know that he was altering the course of history. Like the Bible puts it – The son of the slave wife was born in a human attempt to bring about the fulfilment of God’s promises.
Father Abraham and his covenant wife Sarah, in an attempt to solve a problem that already has God’s promises, took the alternative of the devil. At that point, the devil may have presented to them how they have become a laughingstock in the eyes of humans while waiting for the fulfilment of God’s promises that has already taken years and still counting, when they have an alternative that is within their reach that can end their years of waiting and pain.
My beloved, don’t allow the devil convince you that God has become slack concerning His promises in your life, because the moment that happens, you’re likely to slip into depression and at that point you will become vulnerable to any offer the devil presents as a solution to you.
Don’t adopt a human approach to solve a Divine Project.
