Enjoy Your Freedom Part I
When you go through your valleys low, you’re tempted to feel that God is so high up that He cannot even hear or see you. When such feeling floods your heart, may the thought of His love reassure you of His presence. Our scriptural focus for today states – Dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to live as I do in freedom from these things, for I have become like you Gentiles—free from those laws. You did not mistreat me when I first preached to you. {Gal 4:12 NLT}
Apostle Paul was a pure Jew by birth and a devout one before his conversion, for which he should still be in the forefront of those crusading the doctrine of Judaism to be practiced by Jewish Christians and even Gentile Christians. But his union with Christ brought the glorious light of the gospel into his life and changed his perception of the Jewish religion. He now understood that in Christ we don’t need the observation of those regulations as presented by the Jewish religion to please God and have favour with Him.
Having been freed from the bondage of those regulations, he passionately pleads with the Galatian Christians and all other Gentile nations to freely enjoy the freedom Christ has offered to humanity. Having discovered the truth in Christ and the proper way to live as a Christian here on earth, which is freedom from the clutches of the law, he encourages them to live like him.
Friends in the same way, we extend Apostle Paul’s plea to you, don’t be a Christian and still be a slave of the rules and regulations of the law. Please we enjoin you to always enjoy the freedom Christ purchased for humanity through His death and resurrection. Do not be in the category of those who profess to be Christians but remain slaves to the devil through the law and its requirements, please live in freedom from these things.
Live like Christ and be free.
Have a Grace filled day – Good News awaits you.
