Christ Is The Head Part V
Beloved by your unity with Christ, you no longer belong to the devil or this world, you belong to God. Our scriptural focus for today states – You died with Christ and were made free from the powers that influence this world. So why do you act as if you still belong to the world? I mean, why do you follow rules like these: 21 “Don’t eat this,” “Don’t taste that,” “Don’t touch that. (Col 2:20-21 ERV)
The new creation life in Christ we are privileged to have as God’s children is not based on rules and regulations. When we follow rules and regulations as a means to be made right with God, our scriptural focus reminds us that we are now acting and living as those who belong to the world.
When the scriptures says a person belongs to the world, its not referring to the physical world but the behavioural systems that is determined by the life of sin. We all physically live in this world, but our lifestyle is not determined by the life of sin rather it is determined by the Life Of Christ. The Life Of Christ in you is manifested through the Person of The Holy Spirit Christ has given you. Jesus called Him – The Spirit of Truth. Beloved allow Him to lead you into all Truth because He knows The Truth.
