Today we continue the series we started last saturday on Tips for maintaining sexual integrity as believers. We said sexual integrity is all about Faithfulness to your spouse for the married, and purity in relationship for engaged people.
Tip 2: GET SERIOUS
You should know by now that sexual sin ravages everyone connected with it. What you may not know is that every sexual fantasy you entertain, every flirtatious conversation you keep up, or every “second look” you indulge in is the seed for AIDS, adultery, a broken heart, a shattered life, etc.
Get serious – if you’re still entertaining lust, you’re dancing on a cliff. Take concrete action now while you can, because if you keep indulging things that steer up your emotions, you will definitely practice it one day. Hear this – These desires give birth to sinful actions. And when sin is allowed to grow, it gives birth to death. {James 1:15 NLT}
Get serious, set boundaries, if possible have an accountability team. Its all for your own safety and good. Also get serious with your personal devotion to God and His service.
