Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. {Eph 6:14 NLT}
It is Gods armour that provides the needed protection for a believer, and the demonstration of power and authority is only made possible through the name of Jesus Christ. Our scriptural focus for today states – Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. Righteousness is right standing with God in all things on this earth. The issue of righteousness for a believer is not gotten by any good act of human works, rather the righteousness you enjoy is imputed to you by Christ, and you appropriate it only by Faith. We should learn to rest in the fact that we as believers have been declared righteous by God through the sacrifice of Christ on the cross. The righteousness you now have serves as a weapon and also a protective shield because it was gotten after Christ defeated the devil through His death and resurrection. As the scripture puts it – The body armour of Gods righteousness – it implies that;
1. God is the only source of this righteousness
2. For you to have this righteousness, you must have God in your life
3. For you to always have this righteousness, you must maintain an unbroken personal relationship with God.
4. With this righteousness, you are are assured of maximum protection 24hrs of the day, 7 days a week, 12 months of the year and for as long as you shall live on this earth.
With Gods righteousness – you’re always a victor and never a casualty in spiritual warfare.
