Don’t Miss The Track Part III
The life of all humans was cut short through the sin of Adam, but through the sacrifice of Christ all humans now have the privilege of living an endless life. Our scriptural focus for today states – This false teaching is like a little yeast that spreads through the whole batch of dough. {Gal 5:9 NLT}
Apostle Paul likens the obvious negative effect of false teaching in the life of the Galatian Christians to the effect of yeast on a batch of dough. Yeast is an often humid, yellowish froth produced by fermenting malt worts, and used to brew beer, leaven bread, and also used in certain medicines. Yeast is that agent that is used in the production of bread that makes the dough to rise to the expected size. You don’t require so much to leaven the whole lump, a little is just enough. Same goes for false teachings, you don’t need so much to spread like wildfire and cause havoc in the Body of Christ, a little is just enough.
As yeast has the power to rise a batch of dough and sustain the new size, similarly false teachings has the capacity to derail a child of God from the path of truth and sustain such individual in the bondage of deception till eternity.
The multiplier effect of false teaching is mind blowing, because it can start from one person or a group of people and spread through a whole community or town as the case may be. Beloved the Holy Spirit through this medium is warming Christians of the dangerous effect of giving in to false teaching, especially we that are living in the last days of the existence of this world. The fury of the devil in taking many Christian’s with him to hell is been exhibited through the volume of false/misleading teachings that have flooded the Church. One of which is the focus on signs and wonders without a corresponding life of Holiness and Righteousness. Its time to be truly careful, its time to personally know God for yourself through the Bible. Its time be very careful of what you hear and believe as the gospel.
False teaching is the biggest destroyer in the world today, don’t be a victim.
