Freedom in Christ Part IV

And the leaders of the church had nothing to add to what I was preaching. (By the way, their reputation as great leaders made no difference to me, for God has no favorites. {Gal 2:6  NLT}
No matter how far you have gone on the wrong path in your quest to achieve success, you can still turn around and follow the path of righteousness that guarantees all round success. Our scriptural focus for today states – And the leaders of the church had nothing to add to what I was preaching. (By the way, their reputation as great leaders made no difference to me, for God has no favorites.
Apostle Paul in making a firm stand for the gospel Christ has sent him to preach among the Gentiles, acknowledged that there were no inputs from the leaders of the church at Jerusalem. Having them as the leader’s of the church did not in any way affect his authority as an apostle or the message given to him. While he rejoiced in the agreement they shared in the gospel, yet he did not feel inferior to them as an apostle, having not been part of them when Christ was with them.
His confidence was revealed by this phrase – ‘For God Has No Favorites’. This is the great truth, that establishes that God is not influenced in His judgments/decisions by a regard for human ranks, wealth, or any other external advantage of any person.
Sometimes as a believer, you are tempted to believe and see other believers who you think are making more progress in life than you as God’s favorites, our discovery today establishes that God does not have favorites. The truth is that all His children are His favorites. Do not allow any person or situation put you down and make you believe that some people are more special to God than you, we all have and share the same privileges in Christ. Do not allow any man’s reputation intimate you, all you owe that person is godly respect.

We are all God’s favorites

Have a Grace filled day – Good News awaits you.
