Christ Is The Head Part VI
Beloved, God gave us Christ to establish a new way of relating with Him which not through rules and regulations but through a higher spiritual standard of living. Our scriptural focus for today states – These rules are talking about earthly things that are gone after they are used. They are only human commands and teachingsteachings. {Col 2:22 ERV}
Christ did not establish the new testament church which is His body on the rules and regulations of the law of Moses. The law had a human condition for relating with God at any level. No wonder the law was referred to in the new testament as our task master before the way of Salvation in Christ was revealed to humans.
It will be taking back the hand of the clock to insist that those under the covenant of Christ should still live under these rules that are only talking about earthly things that are gone after they are used.
Beloved Christ speaking about the law said – I came to fulfill the purpose for which the law was given. Please understand that these rules were the shadow of the Real Thing which is Christ.
Christ is the real Christianity and not the law.
