Don’t cause the Holy Spirit sorrow by the way you live. Remember, he is the one who marks you to be present on that day when salvation from sin will be complete. {Eph 4:30 TLB}
The life of a believer is one that is shared with the Holy Spirit. Our scriptural focus for today highlights the sensitive nature of the Holy Spirit and secondly that He is a personality that shares some of the human characteristics. As a believer you can grieve, offend or vex the Holy Spirit by the way you live. Seeing that the Holy Spirit lives in you, your lifestyle as a believer is very important, not just because the world is watching, but you can cause the Holy Spirit sorrow. The world around you gets to know the Holy Spirit through your lifestyle, so when you misrepresent Him, it causes Him sorrow. Remember, He is the one that will present you to God on the last day when your salvation will be complete. The role of the Holy Spirit in the live of a believer does not just end here on earth but takes you into heaven, knowing this, the ounce is on you to always please Him by the way you live.
Don’t be careless in the way you live because the Holy Spirit is involved.
