Meanwhile, I thought I should send Epaphroditus back to you. He is a true brother, co-worker, and fellow soldier. And he was your messenger to help me in my need. {Phil 2:25  NLT}

Maintaining balance in our Christian beliefs and practices, is very important, because Balance they say is the key to life. It helps a believer to avoid being an extremist or going into some practices that will be an abuse of the gospel of grace. Our scriptural focus for today states – Meanwhile, I thought I should send Epaphroditus back to you. He is a true brother, co-worker, and fellow soldier. And he was your messenger to help me in my need. Epaphroditus was a member of the Philippian church, who risked his health and life to carry the love gifts of the church to Apostle Paul in Rome. As at that time Apostle Paul was in need and this church took it upon themselves to minister to his needs as God has provided for them. It is obvious that ministering to the needs of those saddled with the responsibility of preaching the gospel at any level is the duty of the church, especially those ministers of the gospel that are not in the big cities or in big/rich parishes in the various church denominations.
From the testimony of Apostle Paul about him, he didn’t just stop at bringing those gifts of love to him in Rome un-behalf of the Philippian church, he became a useful instrument to Apostle Paul in the work of the ministry. No wonder he calls epaphroditus;
1. A true brother in Christ
2. A co-worker/companion in labour
3. A fellow solider.
From the short time he spent in Rome with Paul, it is clear that, it was his commitment to the course of Christ that brought about this great commendation from Apostle Paul.
Can your leaders in the church, or other believers or even unbelievers bear testimonies about you based on your commitment to the course of Christ that you’re; A true child of God, A co-woker and A fellow solider in the body of Christ. Think about it and make amends were necessary.

Be the true Light for others to emulate.
