A Walk Of Maturity Part 1
Let all who are spiritually mature agree on these things. If you disagree on some point, I believe God will make it plain to you. {Phil 3:15 NLT}
No matter how successful you may look in the eyes of men, you cannot be rewarded unless you take hold or fulfill that for which Christ Jesus has laid His hands upon your life. So do all within your power to reach the goal. Our scriptural focus for today states – Let all who are spiritually mature agree on these things. If you disagree on some point, I believe God will make it plain to you. Apostle Paul was calling the Philippian believers to share with him in the great pursuit of Christ likeness. One mark of spiritual maturity is an unquenchable desire to follow Christ even when it looks impossible or foolish both in your own eyes and in the eyes of those around you.
Apostle Paul did not rule out the possibility of some believers in the Philippian church disagreeing with him on the subjects the Holy Spirit has through him raised for the consideration of the church. He also did not see it as an opportunity to impose these revelations on the brethren since the source was the Holy Spirit or term the people who are not in agreement with him as – foolish, babies, naive, enemies of progress etc, rather he says if you disagree on some point, I believe God will make it plain to you.
Again the Holy Spirit through apostle paul lays a foundational example that we all as believers must follow to avoid unnecessary quarrels and name calling in the church. It is important we note that as believers – We all have the same Holy Spirit but we are not all at the same level of spiritual understanding per time. It is your duty to pray and trust God to help your brethren who are lacking in spiritual understanding and maturity to grow, and that such persons will become better by the day. Our spiritual collaborations that is based on the revealed word of God is what actually portrays us as matured believers.
