Living By The Spirit Part VI
Beloved, the happiest and most joyful people on earth may not have the best of everything, rather they make the best of everything through their relationship with Christ. Our scriptural focus for today states – The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions. {Gal 5:17 NLT}
The human life is lived daily by turning the desires and thoughts produced by either the Holy Spirit which leads to righteous actions or the sinful nature which leads to sinful actions. The Holy Spirit and the sinful nature are contrary one to another, because they are from two different kingdoms, with different ideologies and purpose but all seeking to control the human spirit/life. Every human is a tripartite being which consist of the body, soul and spirit, and equally requires the influence of either the Holy Spirit or the sinful nature to provide direction for the human being. Therefore everyone on earth is either influenced by the Holy Spirit or the sinful nature.
Because of this fact, no human can live here on earth independent of this two spiritual beings. The one you yield your life to obey will determine your lifestyle here on earth and ultimately your eternal destiny.
It will be important to state that every behaviour, every character display, every attitude, every action proceeding from humans are determined by either the Holy Spirit or the sinful nature, nobody sits on the fence. You don’t do whatever you choose to do all by yourself without the influence of either of this spirits.
Give yourself to the Holy Spirit.
