Your Life, Your Seed Part I

Beloved, the Bible is the only book, whether spiritual or academic, where the author is truly in love with the reader, create time to partake of that love. Our scriptural focus for today states – Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit. {Gal 6;8  NLT}
Having established that our life time here on earth is our seedtime, and eternity is the actual harvest, it will be important to emphasize that each of us will determine what our harvest will be when we exist this world and meet with our creator.
The Holy Spirit through Apostle Paul deals with the principle of where to sow, and this is not referring to a particular church or individual being a fertile ground while others are not. This principle looks at our character and material/financial possessions as our seed, and sees two kinds of soil where humans can sow their seeds during their life time here on earth. The first kind of soil being the sinful human nature and the second being the Spirit (The new life in Christ).
To sow to the flesh means to spend ones time, thoughts and resources promoting or indulging in the deeds of the sinful nature. When a human life is lived like this, you expect no other harvest than corruption. This is a mean and short-lived satisfaction at present, but ruin and misery at the end of it. The Bible describing the life of Moses in Hebrews 11:25 said – He chose to share the oppression of God’s people instead of enjoying the fleeting pleasures of sin. Sowing to the flesh may look pleasurable at the moment but bear in mind that such pleasures is for a short time.

Eternity is too long to suffer the consequences of a short time of pleasure.

Have a Grace filled day – Good News awaits you.
