Purpose Driven Work Part I
The dangers or damages caused in the life of a child when parents choose to employ methods that are not supported by the scriptures in their upbringing is enormous. Our scriptural focus for today states – Servants, obey in everything those who are your earthly masters, not only when their eyes are on you as pleasers of men, but in simplicity of purpose [with all your heart] because of your reverence for the Lord and as a sincere expression of your devotion to Him. {Col 3:22 Amp}
As the world kept advancing through civilization and technology, some practices had to give way. One of such practices is every form of slavery. The nature of servant hood that was practiced in the bible is equally not in practice anymore in our generation. Even though its no longer practiced, yet we still have earthly masters in our work place, business environment or even in the church.
As believers, God expects us to obey our earthly masters in our places of work/business in order to use that as an avenue to showcase the life of Christ we have to the world around us. The Christian life is not in our hearts alone but also an outward showcasing of the character and personality of the God that lives inside us.
Obedience is our watchword
