Your Life, Your Seed Part II
Beloved, God’s plan for your life is greater than any challenge or pain your currently going through. His plan will override that challenge and you will be victorious. Our scriptural focus for today states – Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit. {Gal 6:8 NLT}
Sowing to the sinful nature can be pleasurable just for a season, but the consequences are greater than any momentary gain you think you have gotten. There are so many ways in which the devil can lure a believer to start sowing to the sinful nature unknowingly. Remember that the sinful nature is the spirit of sin that seeks at all cost to gain control of the mind/heart of the believer in Christ. When a believer in Christ allows the devil to manifest the following through his/her life, pride, greed, covetousness, anger, uncontrolled sexual passions, love for money, lying, cheating….. Etc, that person is unconsciously sowing to the sinful nature. When the scripture says that the only reward for sowing to the flesh is corruption/decay, it does not just refer to eternal punishment but the persons lifestyle here on earth will only produce vices that are in agreement with the sinful nature.
Corruption in character and lifestyle is the end product of sowing to the sinful nature while still living on this earth. If you’re currently noticing a drifting away from the values of righteousness in your life, its time to take heed to yourself and seek God for fresh infilling of His power and grace.
Sowing to the flesh, destroys righteousness
