Christian Attitude Part V
Beloved the former wall of partition which kept the Gentiles out of the love of God was broken down in Christ and never to be rebuilt in the human history. Our scriptural focus for today states – In this new life, it doesn’t matter if you are a Jew or a Gentile, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbaric, uncivilized, slave, or free. Christ is all that matters, and he lives in all of us. {Col 3:11 NLT}
In the New Creation which Christ offered the human world, your tribe, ethnic group or background no longer mattered. Whatever you couldn’t have or whatever your background disqualified you from becoming was nullified in Christ, therefore you can become whatever God has created you to become in Christ.
The Abrahamic covenant which was established on the basis of the physical circumcision of the foreskin, which became one of the major thrust of Judaism and the pride of the Jewish people was also nullified in Christ.
Therefore righteousness with God is no longer on the basis of circumcision or uncircumcision but on Christ and Christ alone. Beloved Christ is our message, Christ is our righteousness, Christ is our holiness, Christ is our only acceptance and approval before God.
Our righteousness is in Christ
