Living For Christ Part II
God’s purpose for your life is greater than the challenges and pains you will ever go through on this earth. God definitely has a plan behind whatever is your pain, just trust Him. Our scriptural focus for today states – My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. {Gal 2:20 NLT}
Having understood that the devil has lost his controlling power over your life because you’re now in Christ, it will be important to state that you’re no longer the one living your life, Christ is now the one living through you. The only way to achieve God’s purpose of reproducing humans who will be like Him on this earth, is for Christ to coexist with humans here on earth through the ministry of the Holy Spirit. The day you received the privileged life offered by Christ through salvation, you also relinquished the right to total/absolute control over everything that concerns you. In essence, a believer is not in total control over his/her live. If you understand this principle, it will enable you walk effectively with Christ throughout your earthly pilgrimage.
It is also this principle that confers the power Christ own through His resurrection on the believer. Hear this – But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world. {1Jn 4:4 NLT}
We will only remain victorious over the devil and this world of sin because Christ lives in the inside of us as believers, otherwise, we will become a slave to sin and a prey of the devil.
