God’s Ambassador Part II
The decision to receive Christ into your life as your Lord and personal Saviour automatically confered on you the privilege of being God’s Ambassador wherever you are on this earth. Our scriptural focus for today states – Clothe yourselves therefore, as God’s own chosen ones (His own picked representatives), [who are] purified and holy and well-beloved [by God Himself, by putting on behavior marked by] tenderhearted pity and mercy, kind feeling, a lowly opinion of yourselves, gentle ways, [and] patience [which is tireless and long-suffering, and has the power to endure whatever comes, with good temper]. {Col 3:12 AMP}
It is in keeping with your new status in Christ that God and even the world around you expects you to clothe yourself with only lifestyles that will showcase the glory and beauty of the kingdom of God which you now represent here on earth. Beloved that you have been chosen by God in Christ Jesus is no longer news and not of your own making.
It will be important to emphasize that God chose you in Christ to be holy and not to work to be holy. Holiness is the very nature of God made available to humans in Christ and your responsibility is to receive God’s holiness already made available for you in Christ. This your new nature of holiness is what makes you to be loved by God because He cannot behold sin but loves holiness.
You’re holy and loved by God.
