Purpose Driven Work Part III

The kind of obedience God expects from us His children in our places of work/business is not the world’s definition of obedience called – Eye service. Our scriptural focus for today states – Servants, obey in everything those who are your earthly masters, not only when their eyes are on you as pleasers of men, but in simplicity of purpose [with all your heart] because of your reverence for the Lord and as a sincere expression of your devotion to Him. {Col 3:22 Amp}

Obedience to either God’s instructions or the instructions of our earthly masters should be a lifestyle rather than an event. If you make obedience an event in your life, you have indirectly pitched yourself against God because He will not be pleased with your work. Beloved, when obedience becomes your lifestyle, you will never be found in eye service, and you can be rest assured of Gods blessings upon your life.

When you demonstrate the character and personality of God through obedience to your earthly masters, it equally showcases the extend of your reverence and devotion to God.
It will be important to understand that our reverence and devotion to God is not only demonstrated in the church alone but also in the character we put up in our places of work.

Obedience is an expression of your reverence and devotion to God.

Have a grace filled day – Good news awaits you.
