Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form. {Phil 2:7 NLT}

When Jesus arrived on earth, He did not pretend to be a servant considering His exhorted position, nor was He an actor playing a role, He actually was a servant in all sense of it. Our scriptural focus for today states – Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form. The essential idea Jesus is communicating to us is that of willingness in submission to the ultimate will and purpose of God. He {Jesus}, went ahead to empty Himself, deliberately laying aside the independent use of His own attributes as God, what an example to behold. One of the things that made His humanity unique was – His freedom over sin, even though He was a human subject to place, time and many other human limitations.
By His example, He brought about the principle of Servant Leadership. This was the true expression of His innermost nature, He was the God-Man, illustrating that Divinity and humanity has been reunited again as it was in the beginning.
As believers, the life that we have been called to live is one that is made up of divinity and humanity as Jesus did. Being a servant is a duty you owe your generation as a believer. Jesus brought Himself from all things, as it were to nothing. He dealt with the human problem of Self Importance. Have you allowed the work of salvation to permanently deal with the human problem of Self Importance in your life?. This is a question you must provide answers to as you journey through this earth having been given the privilege to live the God-Life in a human body.

Service is the hallmark of a submissive mind.

Have a Grace filled day – Good News awaits you.
