Recognising The Assignment Part III
The rewards you get by achieving your set goals and objectives, are not as important as what the Holy Spirit has made you become by achieving your set goals/objectives, never give up but keep getting better. Our scriptural focus for today states – For the same God who worked through Peter as the apostle to the Jews also worked through me as the apostle to the Gentiles. {Gal 2:8 NLT}
The leadership of the church in Jerusalem was not only satisfied by the gospel Apostle Paul was preaching to the Gentiles, they also saw by the evidence made available to them that it is the same God that is at work. Those criticizing the work of Apostle Paul, were presenting it as a new gospel from a different source that is not the same God that the other eleven Apostles were preaching. That the focus of their assignment’s were different, did not in any way make the gospel different and the source different. As the leadership interacted with Apostle Paul, they discerned that the God at work in them to the Jews, is the same God at work in Apostle Paul to the Gentiles, what a harmony they shared in the gospel.
This recognition brought peace and focus to the brethren. The division the devil was seeking to create among them was defeated by their spiritual sensitivity and maturity.
We need this level of maturity and spiritual sensitivity in our current churches, to defeat the plans of the devil to create disunity among us or to create superiority in the manifestation of Gods power. Let’s recognise that it is the same God that is at work in all of us who are God’s genuine children, even though the focus of our assignment’s may be different.
It is the same God.
Have a Grace filled day – Good News awaits you.
