And he humbled himself even further, going so far as actually to die a criminal’s death on a cross. {Phil 2:8  TLB}

Many people will be willing to serve others if it does not really cost them anything and the returns are good, but if there is a price to pay, they likely would lose interest. Our scriptural focus for today states – And he humbled himself even further, going so far as actually to die a criminal’s death on a cross. His death on the cross was the high point of His humility and obedience to the purpose of God on the earth. It will be important to emphasize that His death was not that of a martyr but the death of the Saviour of the whole world to permanently provide a solution to the problem of sin created by Adam and Eve on the earth.
If the life of Christ you have been privileged to share in cost you nothing, its obvious you may not accomplish anything meaningful for Christ on this earth. Crucifixion was the form of capital punishment the Roman’s used for very notorious criminals, it was excruciatingly painful and very humiliating. Yet it pleased God that His own Son, the only perfect and sinless man that once lived on this earth should die this most shameful death, so that all who accept Him will not face eternal condemnation.
The life of every believer should be built on Sacrifice and Obedience, because they go together. Please note that sacrifice in Gods kingdom is not about money, but about total obedience to the instructions of God. Money can only be called sacrifice when it is given in church as an act of obedience to the instruction of God.
His death on the cross has permanently and eternally liberated every believer from the curse of the law and from any order known or unknown curse/curses. It doesn’t matter who you’re, what you have done, or what your father, grandfather, great grandfather’s did, Christ bore the shame and the pain on the cross for your freedom, so daily live in the freedom were with Christ has made you free.

Sacrifice and Obedience are the foundations of true Christianity.

Have a Grace filled day – Good News awaits you.
