The New Life Realities Part IV
Beloved setting your focus on heavenly realities where Christ is seated is about living here on earth with heavenly standards in your daily relationship with other humans. Our scriptural focus for today states – And set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth. (Col 3:2 AMP)
There is a higher life powered by the higher things that proceed from the consciousness of the location of Christ in heaven. It is the higher life in Christ that enables a believer to put to death all the characteristics of the of the old sinful nature.
Keeping our minds set on what is above is the ability to see as God sees and act as God’s acts while still living on this earth. When our mind’s are set on the realities of heaven, living like Christ is never a struggle rather it becomes a way of life for us.
Beloved when you allow your mind to be set on earthly things, you will live to fulfill only your own personal goals without fulfilling the purpose of your creation. When our affections/minds are set above, we will live here on earth with the purpose of God as the main thrust of our human existence.
Allow the higher things determine the earthly things in your life.
