Follow God’s example in everything you do just as a much loved child imitates his father. {Eph 5:1 TLB}
As a New Testament believer, one of the greatest privilege you have, is the Father and Son relationship you share with God. Having being adopted by God as His child, our scriptural focus for today calls your attention to the responsibility this relationship confers on you. ‘Follow God’s example in everything you do’ – is a command and not an optional advice to you as a believer. You have been called to follow only God’s example in everything you do because, He is stable in character, He cannot and has never changed, His example has been proved to be the best by generations before you and above all He created you to be like Him. Making another believer your example can be a costly mistake and this has ruined the spiritual life of some believers. When a human is your example, his/her character failures are likely to be seen in your life. The Bible is a written version of Gods examples, please spend time knowing them and commit yourself to doing it.
If you love God, you will follow His example in all things.
