Fully Established Part I
Beloved, you’re the temple of God, you’re also holy therefore it is the sole responsibility of God to protect and provide for His temple, which is you. Our scriptural focus for today states – Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness. {Col 2:7 NLT}
Apostle Paul wanted the Colossian brethren to be consistent in their devotion and followership of Christ. Their consistent followership of Christ whether in times of abundance and celebration or in times of challenges will cause their spiritual roots to grow down in Christ. They will become like that house built on the Rock, so that when the winds, rain and storms of life show up they will always be standing because their Roots have grown very deep in Christ and have over time developed the ability to withstand the tricks of the devil.
Beloved are you daily engaged in spiritual exercise that ensures that your spiritual roots are growing deeper and deeper into Christ or you’re busy with empty religious processes that is indirectly destroying your faith and confidence in Christ. The days we live in requires that every believer disciplines himself/herself to respond to the admonition of the Holy Spirit by daily engaging the sincere milk of the word, scripturally based prayer and daily practice of godliness that will guarantee your growth in Christ. If your spiritual roots are not daily growing deeper into Christ the devil will mislead you like he did to Eve.
Your growth in Christ guarantees your establishment in life.
