God’s Ambassador Part III
Beloved it is in keeping with your new status in Christ that God and even the world around you expects you to clothe yourself with lifestyles that will reflect the beauty of heaven. Our scriptural focus for today states – Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. {Col 3:13 NLT}
It is an established fact that no human can live successful on this earth without offence. You will have course to offend someone and other people will also have reasons to offend you. So as longer as we live on this earth, offence must surely come, sometimes on a daily basis, or maybe on a weekly basis.
Bottling up offence in your heart will definitely not lead to a solution nor will it showcase the new life you have in Christ, rather it is one of the ways the devil seeks to subtly pollute your spiritual life and drain God’s power from your life.
Seeing that offences must surely come, the Holy Spirit gives every believer a divine strategy to handle it – He says make allowance for each others fault’s. To make allowance means to establish in your heart that humans not angles will always offend you. Secondly the Holy Spirit wants you to recognize that you have the capacity to bear the offence and thirdly give everyone the benefit of the doubt.
Make enough room in your heart for other people’s fault’s
