True Christianity Part II

Beloved, the people who love and care about you the Jesus way, give you the strength to go through the toughest times during your earthly pilgrimage. Our scriptural focus for today states – We always pray for you, and we give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. {Col 1:3  NLT }
Apostle Paul gives thanks to God for the work Christ is doing in the lives of the Colossian Christians. When we recall that Apostle Paul wrote this epistle from prison, his attitude of thanksgiving and care for the welfare of the brethren is even more wonderful.
That he still had the time and the right frame of mind even though he was in prison to always pray for the establishment of the faith of the Colossian Christians, is a great example for modern day Christianity.
Like Apostle Paul, we must learn to be grateful for what Christ is doing in the lives of other believers. We must equally learn to stand with other believers in prayer, putting aside our personal discomfort in order to show fort the love of Christ in this world lacking the true and genuine love.
We must always remember that we are members of One Big Body of Christ and if one member of the body is strengthened through prayer, it will in turn strengthen the entire body. Consider this – But while Peter was in prison, the church prayed very earnestly for him. {Acts 12:5  NLT} Apostle Peter was billed for trial but the brethren prayed for him, which brought about a divine intervention and in return strengthened the faith of the other brethren.

As you pray, God will intervene.

Have a Grace filled day – Good News awaits you.
