Doing Worthy Deeds Part II
Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you. {Phil 4:9 NLT}
We are prone to pray about the Big Issues in our life and forget to also pray about the things we call Small Issues, until they grow and become Big Issues. Talking to God about everything that concerns us, is the first step to victory. Our scriptural focus for today states – Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.
It will be important to state that to have the facts of scripture in your head is not enough and may do you on good, but to allow the Holy Spirit translate the facts of scripture into the Revealed Truth in your heart is the right step in the direction of unconditional obedience to God.
Apostle Paul admonishes the Philippian brethren to put to use the things they have learned and received from him in the course of his ministry to them. Learning will amount to a waste, if not diligently put into practice.
The peace of God is the reward you receive, when you commit yourself to walking in unconditional obedience to God and His word. If you will decide to walk in the path of biblical righteousness, then the peace of God and the God of peace will always influence your heart/mind. The peace of God also serves as check and balance in the life of every believer. Whenever you lose the peace of God in your life, its an indication that you’re walking away from the will and purpose of God for your life. The presence of the peace of God in your life strengthens your faith and confidence in God because it also dispels fear, worry and anxiety.
Live in obedience and enjoy the peace of God.
Have a Grace filled day – Good News awaits you.
